That is just awesome.
Seems genuine if you ask me. 10 years later the Kings did not have to continue wearing the decals. But, quietly they did.
It's hard to look at the pain in their faces.
Very touching pictures, heart wrenching to see the expressions on their faces. Seeing the Cup at Ground Zero, right next to their names is almost too much.
I remember watching scrimmage games at Healthsouth (right after 9-11) and when the Nat'l Anthem played, the crowd all sang along with tears in our eyes.
With all the BS going around with the NHL right now, this was a very classy move. Props to the Kings, the NHL or whomever made this happen....

We'll never forget!
Not sure who was at the home opener back in '01, but that was the most gut wrenching National Anthem. Forget who the young lady was that sang, but about a third fo the way through, everyone sang along. Mid ways through, I could not hear her, just the crowd. Seemed like she was enjoying that and encouraging the crowd. It was an unbelieveable experience.
Ace's son was presented with a Kings jersey with his Father's name and #. He threw it on immediately, and got a huge ovation.
They have the black circular decal on the helmets with the words "Ace" and "Mark" with the crown.
Is this the helmet sticker?
