Quoting myself is not cool, but, I don't see any team taking on a $5.8M per year cap hit, JB will be gone before the end of the season.

I will say, he has impressed the hell out of me the last couple of games.

I just had a thought. When is Bernier an RFA? Is it possible that Deano might wait and let someone sign him to an offer sheet, decline to match, and take the compensation? That might get the best of all worlds... get his value as a capable backup and then get the compensation picks, too.

I love Bernier in net.....But I loooove Quick more. I just can't see Bernier pulling out of a hat a different solution to that Chicago game. Bernier has looked good when the opponent didn't get great scoring chances. Give him credit though, no mistakes.

I'd expect to see Bernier several times in March, what with the repeated back-to-backs. Unless, of course, Quick gets on a crazy roll.

for the first time, ever , LA has 2 good goaltenders, and you guys wanna trade 1 ??? How about we keep both, and play who is winning? Crazy idea, i know........
Signing a goalie to a long term deal is never a good idea...just ask the islanders. I love Quick, but i love winning more, and you could put scuderi in net if it ment winning, i could care less.

Had this season not been cut short because of the lockout, i would have expected Bernier to have been traded by the deadline. But, with so many back to backs, i'd expect him to be traded at the draft. No way he's traded this season.

I don't think Kopitar was ever on the trading block. You must have some inside information.

I believe he is an RFA at the end of this season. This is an interesting idea, especially if two or three teams are in the on the hunt. Could be interesting.
