Yeah the first born thing is kind of weird but you get used to it after awhile.

Also, the goal is to place your bet as late as possible before game time. When you give karma to someone, the amount of karma granted is based on your total karma value. More karma = more granted. If you bet early, that karma is taken out of your account immediately. You'll be granting very little at that point.

The odds never change. It's always 3/2 for Kings, and 2/1 for opponents.
