But the key would be they have to clear this time I would think. I can't imagine Hickey clearing ...

I agree...it's probably a strategic move...some of the players might be taken but chances are not all of them....

Actually...the Flames are my #2 team in the conference...

Hickey is your boy Ges. Remember he is the real deal. I hope he gets a chance wherever he goes.

i remember being high on his play, but i don't recall him being "my boy" or using the term "real deal." i don't i ever use that phrase.

none of us know if he or any of the other guys they waived for that matter are going anywhere. this whole thing is odd seeming only because Manchester is in the middle of their season, they aren't that great, and are already looking to lose Voynov, Nolan and King as well.

Ahhh memories of being outside upstairs at the draft party when Hickey was taken. Was that Hatter that had the freak-out? Plus Lice's Derek armstrong cake. Good times.

Whatever happens I'd love to hear what DL says about Hickey. What went "wrong" or his evaluation of that pick. I've never really heard him comment on it before....

BAH! My first thought was of the waste of a #4 overall pick, just like I always thought it was. Even if he were to surprise and actually do something elsewhere he would still be a wasted pick at the time when the Kings needed the real deal.

Hatter let out that barbaric yawp of WHAT THE F***??... then there was silence, and then a whole lotta paper shuffling.
