Which current Kings player has the highest return on investment?
It's the offseason "dumb question time of year" so here goes.
Not taking salary into account, who has been the best bargain as far as what it took at acquire them.
We got Williams for Patty O and a 2nd. I think Mr. Game Seven is my choice.
Quick was a mid third rounder, taken one pick after Rich Clune.
Not sure how to fit Gaborik in here, we got him for a song, but he was technically a rental that decided to stay.
I think Kopi was a steal at the 11th pick behind Luc Bourdon.
Carter? We lost a decent defenseman in JMFJ and a 1st for him.
Stoll and Greene for Visnovsky?
I know everyone is gonna say Lewis as a joke, but he did deflect the puck to set up Stoll's game/series winner against Vancouver in 2012. Without that play we might be celebrating our first Stanley Cup win this year. I'd say he's worked out just fine as a first rounder.

Jake Muzzin. Didn't even use a draft pick for him.

I think Gaborik was the biggest 'steal' of all time. Quick's the best player we 'found in the rough' I think. But overall I have to say Lewis.

Disclaimer: I found the Trevor Lewis joke option too good to resist.
Trevor Lewis is like the pair of high-end shoes you find at the thrift store with a bit of sharpie on them. Sure, when you inspect them up close, they're not mint condition, just like Lewis isn't your prototypical 1st round draft pick who can actually hit an empty net. But, when you're on the run, in a game, or just walking around a lot, they do the damn job and they do it so well that no one passing by on the street taking a quick glance will know the difference.

Tyler Toffoli gets paid in peanuts. Literal peanuts!
I know we are not talking about salaries, I just wanted to point out he gets paid like a zoo animal. Carry on!

Stoll and Greene is my vote. Williams would also be a good pick.

for me....Jeremy R. only 5mil for 1 year so that everytime I watch him on a game he can say how he understands the winning attitude in LA...best bang for the buck..lol
