The idea of a silent game is a fitting one. Maybe no announcements at all. Just "announce" the goals and penalties in text on the scoreboard. The only thing you would have to do is the "one minute left" announcements.

Such horrible news... I hope a ProTools whiz will be hired by the Kings to splice together some Courtney clips and make his introduction of the Kings eventual receiving of their rings and announcing the banner being raised happen posthumously.

Yeah, I already fixed it. John Dumont was the San Diego Gulls and Mariners PA guy way back when and I think he did the Padres, too.

RIP David....I posted in the shoutbox about Vinny's 85th birthday and then saw the news. This has hurt hard, I loved hearing his voice at Kings and Angels games. Great voice gone far too soon.

So ****ed up. All my sympathies to his family.

Not having a game to go to this week is the only good part of the lockout. I know I'll need some time. So devastating.
