very sad news indeed.

Damn...we are all here for such a short time. <sigh>, horrible news! Another irreplaceable voice is gone. Richer for having experienced his talent...and yet poorer for his untimely passing. RIP, David Courtney. You will be missed, and never forgotten by this Kings fan.

/\ thats what i am talking about. Nothing phony. Just pure class. No stupid forced Star Wars'esque deep voice, or screaming at the top of his lungs. Just straight forward, with a voice meant to be broadcasted.

I was watching game 6 the night before he passed and thought to myself that I really missed hearing his voice during the game...well now I won't ever get to hear it live again, just need to keep the games I have on tape or my DVR so that I have his voice with me forever. The first time I heard him was at the Forum with my sister Michelle and now he can keep her and Tanner company watching hockey games from heaven...

RIP David Courtney, you are already tremendously missed by all who were lucky enough to listen to you announce Kings, Angels and Clippers games...
