David's last ever game intro.
David's last ever game intro.
I am physically ill hearing this. I feel like I'm gonna puke...
Rest in Peace, David Courtney. I considered him a friend after trading so many facebook comments and waving to each other all the time at the rink. I remember after the Kings won the Cup and were passing it around the ice I walked over to his spot and congratulated him. This is so unexpected!
Thoughts and well wishes out to his wife and other family. I met him twice... Once at the TSC while he was out having a smoke. And the other in vegas for frozen fury about 5 years ago. My wife and I met him, his wife, and Bob Miller wondering around the MGM on friday night. My wife drunkenly made me show them my kings tattoo. Fun moment... I remember when we were finishing the conversation and parting ways David's wife ask if she could see it again. Great guy both times... HE WILL BE MISSED!!!
David's intro of the presentation of the Stanley Cup.
David was excellent in what he did and a good successor in a long line of Kings PA guys: John Ramsey, Dennis Packer...
RIP

This is terrible. I'm glad he got to see the Kings win the Cup before he passed. Rest in Peace David.
Sad news. Thoughts and prayers to David's friends and family. He will definitely be missed.
such awful, awful news. I remember when he took some time off last season to get married, and another announcer filled in, the difference was so noticeable. hearing him make the announcements was one of those things that I kind of took for granted as just being part of the package of going to Kings games. I really appreciated his talent more after another person filled in for him.
no way Kings games will be the same. RIP.
