My God. What a terrible shock. I just found out about the news. Others have already echoed these sentiments, but Kings games will not be the same without him (he dates back to the early 90's at the Forum). His last game was indeed game 6, and among his last words as a Kings PA announcer: "The 2012 Stanley CUp CHampions are YOUR LOS ANGELES KINGS!!" and a little later: "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Stanley Cup!" Until now, relieving game 6 was pure joy. Now, there will be an element of sadness mixed in. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
I have nothing to add but my tears, and my name to the list of the many who will mourn this loss, and whose deepest condolences and kindest thoughts and prayers are offered to David's friends and family.

His voice is one that is plastered inside of my mind. I have shared so many good times with friends throughout the years going to games at the Great Western Forum and Staples Center.T he experiences always started with hearing Nick and Daryl's voices echoing through the halls... after making our way to our seats in the 300s or upper bowl and watching the preskate Davids voice introducing the players with his stylistic "Lay Dees and Gentlemen,,,,,, YOur Lawz AnJuh lus KINGS"!! to the ice always got my blood pumping.
I thank him for being part of lifelong experiences that I will always cherish. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Just got out of a meeting right now and my co worker told me about this. This is very very sad, but at least he got to see the boys win it all. RIP D.C.

In utter shock. Nothing better than a Kings or Angels home gave with Dave as the announcer. Great guy to talk to. I pray for him, his wife and family.
