Default Difference Between Tip A King and Hockeyfest

I'm just wondering what's the difference between Tip A King and Hockeyfest? I know for Tip-A-King, you have to tip players for an autograph and a photo and you get 2 hours time with the players for general admission (3 hours for VIP members). I'm not sure how many hours Kings players will be signing autographs at Hockeyfest. I'm assuming the autographs are free but how long's the line and how many items can you get signed at once?

HockeyFest is typically a chaotic, at least the three that I have been to were. They encourage only one autograph per person, per player. That way the lines tend to move faster. IIRC, there are waves of players signing at different times. Typically there will be a group of 5 players or so signing from a certain time frame, then a little later on a new group of 5. The lines are usually very long, and unless they issue wristbands, or if you are towards the front of the line, you will pretty much be able to get your autographs.

Tip-A-King - You tip the players/coaches for autographs AND photographs.

Hockeyfest - Technically autographs aren't free either since you have to pay for a hockeyfest ticket to get inside. The lines will indeed be ridiculously long, but I'm sure if you line up early enough it shouldn't be a problem. But like beedee mentioned, they're set in different groups at different times, so plan ahead if you can?

Ultimately, if you want to pick between the two... Tip-A-King is the way to go, even if it's way more pricier.

Was the Stanley Cup at Tip a King 2013 or was it any different or special than the other tip a king?

Does the money go to the player's favorite charity or does it just go in their pocket? And how much are you expected to tip?

it all goes to charity. kingscare, i believe. the players don't actually take the money. you give it to a handler at the head of the line. i haven't gone in a while because it's such a clusterf*** now, but the last time i went it was like $1 or $5 depending on what you wanted. i think they get more now by having people buy kings bucks that you redeem at each station for your "experience" or something like that.

glad to hear it's for charity - otherwise would have seemed tacky. I took my kids for their skating lesson back in January and Blackhawks legend Bobby Hull was there signing autographs. My kids had little blackhawks jerseys and there was no line so we just went right up there. But then Bobby's handler told us it would be $50 per signature ($100 total) and I was like 'what the ef' - my kids were 4. The guy then told me that I could be selling the jerseys on ebay - so I showed him the backs of the jerseys which had the first names of my sons on there so I told him no one was going to buy a jersey with those names. So he 'discounted' the price to $25 a piece. I should have walked but I didn't and my kids and wife really wanted the signatures. And none of this was for charity - it all went in Bobby's pocket. It's always about the money.

For Tip A King, is it possible to tip $10 for 4 autographs or $15 for 6 autographs at a time?

The OP sounds like someone who wants to make a few quick bucks off of e-bay.
