It's kinda hard to guess tone/sarcasm on the interwebz, but it seems some of you have a real disdain for them and their wearers.

I'm still in the market for an authentic Quick jersey, but it's pretty difficult to pull the trigger as i cant find any in person (I'm a big guy, and i rather try it on before i buy).

    Silly thread, i know.

just go somewhere and try them on, find your size and you can order them online. usually a place like rivercitysports has authentics on sale for over 50% off over the summer at times.

    Seriously, do you care?

I buy replicas because I don't want to shell out the extra bucks just for that slightly better wearing comfort...or the feel that I've got the "real thing". But that's just my opinion.

However, I WILL look down at you with disdain if you are proudly sporting a cheap Chinese knock-off...

I look down on you if you buy some cheap chinese knockoff that you bought off some random website for $40 because what you paid for look like absolute dog ****.

Now replica's no I don't look down on you, but I hate Reebok for the bastardization of the replica NHL jersey. So **** them.

Let's be honest, there's no real reason for any of us fans to have authentic jerseys. Do we really need a fight strap to make us feel like a hardcore fan? I own both and actually wear my replica more than my authentic. It's more comfortable against my baby butt skin.

I may be wrong here, but I think most people buy authentic because it makes them feel like a pro, wearing the same jersey as the team. I can understand purchasing an authentic Quick jersey to have signed as part of your collection. That makes more sense to me. But when you're stuffing your face with over priced hotdogs and beer, you're better off spilling on your less expensive replica.

That's mostly my reasoning. i'd love to have an authentic jersey to have the man sign.

Exactly. The Chinese bootlegs that are everywhere now I hate. Other than that, it's all good. My jersey collection is about 60% authentic and 40% replica. I have no problem wearing either.

I don't care what anyone wears, but don't lettering and patches come out weird on replicas? An example would be curling on the edges. The older ones certainly did.
