I agree with the rest of your post, but this is irresponsible logic. Every goalie, every game, at every level is motivated every time they hit the ice. Their motivation, and I think this can be especially true in Quick's case, is for the team to succeed. That's always been his motivation. In fact I'm sure you can recall the first thing he said at Staples the day of the celebration.
And for the rest of you, and this is probably the last you'll hear from me on the subject... While Quick may be a bit rusty, so is most of the team. And you can't blame a single one of these losses on him. The defense has been atrocious, and the offense has been of little help. You got your Bernier fix and what happened? Five goals. Five. There was no preseason, and an extra long off season. The problem is not in net. It's just about everywhere else.
