Does Bernier start tomorrow?

Every other team in the NHL has started a B/U goalie at least one game so far this season. What's so special about Quick that he is the lone exception to this rule? It's certainly not his play so far this season. Hey if he were playing great, I could see the argument. People can say he's not part the problem, I don't agree and I don't think too many do, but I don't get the idea that giving him a day off at the end of a long road trip on the second half of a B2B is somehow the equivalent of suggesting that he get sent down or benched permanently or something, when it's actually standard practice league-wide.

There was no preseason, and an extra long off season. The problem is not in net. It's just about everywhere else.

Don't want to see Quick get hurt if he isn't 100 % but don't feel confidant at all with Bernier.We need the points

Stanley Cup Hangover, Big Contract, Back Surgery.... could be all 3 combined

It seems as though some of you would seriously consider starting Quick every game this season. This game is the perfect time to give him a rest. Do I expect Bernier to come out and be the savior? Absolutely not. The guy barely gets to play so of course he isn't going to be sharp. But on a back to back, on the road, after off season surgery, and while he is fighting the puck a bit right now, you absolutely give him a break tomorrow.

Agreed. If Sutter does not start JB tomorrow I will assume something was in the punch he drank out of the Cup in Viking, Alberta over the summer.

What's the worst that can happen...he gives up the first goal of the game, and then the last goal of the game?

I don't think anybody has a problem with Bernier starting tomorrow, but lets not question Quick's motivation and integrity. This guy carried this team on his bad back all season and into the playoffs last year. The guy had to stand while eating dinner! I don't think he needs to 'be pushed' into playing hard.

Yes! Last year Quick turned me into a believer, so I am not going to start bashing him becuse of his awful play this year because of what he did last year. But he is clearly not in game shape because of the back surgery. and his game as cost the Kings 3 games. So start JB, what do the Kings have to lose but another game!
