I get it. But I think there's a BIG difference -- in kind, not just in degree -- between exuberant celebration and showing someone up, and it seems to me that the "act like you've been there before" crowd doesn't really appreciate the distinction.

And they travel in bunches. Went to the Kings/Oilers game late last season before the playoffs, and they had a Vancouver level of douchiness to them. That's scary for a cellar-dweller team.

what would honestly be more worrisome about this kid, would be burnt out on the NHL at 25/26/27 like Ovechkin appears to be. they are very similar type characters.

I'm starting to wonder how many of you actually watched the video. He's saying the Kings will have extra incentive the next time they play so he's hurting his own team, and Cherry also takes exception to the mocking of Quick. Is he wrong? Pretend it's Bob Miller saying it and then tell me what you think.

As a fan, I don't mind seeing some passion and exuberance from a young player. I'm sure the league feels that way too.

As a Kings fan, I take pride in knowing that if one of our kids pulled that, he wouldn't make it past Darryl or Dean without being educated on what real gamesmanship is.
