In the US, both are used, with donut indicated as a variant of doughnut. In the UK, donut is indicated as an American variant for doughnut

LOL... some of these posts are hilarious.

All joking aside, the kid is SUPER competitive. I really don't think he gives a $h!t that he has a Stanley cup ring etc... I think he just wants to win... especially when it counts.
