Not sure if you are saying you were making a joke or that the play of Aki was a joke. Aki was a talented player who got seriously thrown into the fire far too early. Had he had a couple of seasons in the AHL he would have been a solid Dman. To put in comparison Vovnov played 3 full seasons in the AHL and we are now seeing the results of that decision. Aki on the other hand was thrown onto a horrible team as an 18 year old out of Finland with limited english skills. Was a bad decision....one of many that marked that era of Kings hockey.
I have always felt bad for JMFJ. He seemed like a good team guy, although at times he was totally out of control. I expect in a few more seasons, he will be a much better all around player. Same can be said for Doughty. At least Doughty is throwing his body around. He's had some nice hits this season.
