The key for me about Ducks fans is that, like me, a lot of them are hockey fans. There is a common ground. It is possible to find them while avoiding the idiots.

bro hymn was on pennywise's 1st ALBUM, when Jason died, the band did the re make of the song on their 4th album, the only difference of that song and the one on 1st album is that in the beginning of the song ( on 4th album) jim the lead singer ( adds jason mathews name ) saying jason mathews this one is for you .

That's what I said. His name is Jason Thirsk by the way. Matthew is his middle name.

I still remember Jason's memorial service at Clark Stadium in Hermosa. It was amazing the amount of love. And they played Bro Hymn. Mydad is friends w/ Jason's dad who does his taxes. Jason's younger brother used to do mine.

I remember in high school (I went to RUHS) and on 4th of July PW always played a impromptu show. Word would spread down on the Strand and then it would end up being on like 8th St. and Monterrey in Hermosa. The cops would be there and just make sure it was safe. Some of the craziest but nicest mosh pits I've ever seen. This would have been between 92-96.

I've lived in LA most of my life, I went to HS in Orange, I love so cal, I'd never put down any kings/ ducks/Angels/Dodgers..... all this feuding is stupid... we got nothing to fight about, we have 2 stanley cups in so cal and i am proud of both organizations... i've met nothing but classy people ducks/kings fans at the games, it just bugs that some of us are way too in love with ouR "ONLINE" PERSONA...

I had one stupid Ucks fan insult me at work a few years back (and in this instance it was manning a Salvation Army kettle) and wouldn't let up the personal insults and the ones about our beloved Kings... The one day I got even she had a smile on her face telling a few friends that she's going to night school...

Without missing a beat I imitated her inflection and yelled "WITH A FACE LIKE YOURS I WOULDN'T SHOW IT IN DAYLIGHT EITHER!!!"... Her friends were laughing so hard that I thought that they were about to need some medical assistance... They even dropped $20 each thanking me for the best laugh they had in years...while that Ucks fan just went away and for some strange reason stiffed me...

The insults stopped after that...

That's where we differ. I despise everything about the Ducks. I can't stand most of their players, can't stand their fans, can't stand the stadium. I can't stand driving down there. I admit that it might be a slightly unhealthy level of hate but I own it. I could give two ****s about the Ducks organization. I hope they make the playoffs every year and get knocked out in the first round. Just so they don't get a great draft pick.

In my eyes, you can't be a fan of both teams. You are one or the other. Its like a UCLA fan liking USC. Good luck w/ that. It has nothing to do w/ "online personalities." Offline I despise them as well. If I moved right next to the Ponda I would hate them even more. Its not real feuding.

The fact is, its only a geographical rivalry. Nothing more. The Canucks, Sharks and Coyotes are much bigger rivals than the Ducks. If the teams play in the playoffs, GAME THE **** ON!

Sorry man, i just don't see it that way, maybe because i like both cities, and they are basically my home, but then again i have friends who go to SC and I have friends who go to UCLA.... I have dodgers fans friends/ Angels fans.....I don't have any clippers friends..... I like hockey and i have a world of respect for guys like TEEMU SELANNE ,WAYNE GRETZKY , LUC , DAVE TAYLOR , but that's just me .
