Only part of the Chevron Oil logo is a pair of chevrons. The term chevron only applies to the V-shaped element of the logo, which is solely the 2 bottom lines in the Kings' case. And it's a stretch at that. The "Chevy" logo is the just popular term for the Gretzky era one due to its resemblance to the car maker's logo. Your "upgrade the home plate logo for the chevron logo" statement is ambiguous on its face and I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering what the hell you mean by it.

That's about right. The home plate logo and vertical striping suck. I really wish they'd just go back to a purple/gold format like the throwbacks.

But #1 sports uni overall for me is the Blackhawks, especially the red jersey. Logo is classic and colorful, nice use of striping, great color combo. Can't be beat IMO.

Like I say, "black and white with silver trim"....those are NOT colors; they are shades.

Raider colors are way too trendy, they were too trendy when Gretzky arrived (that change was understandable) but these non-colors remain too trendy and completely unoriginal.

The modern crown is a huge hit, a sleak clean awesome update to the 67 crown. The original crown is an even better logo, but I'd settle for either on the chest/center ice.

By they way homeplate LA-lovers, you had to know the homeplate LA dealio was TEMPORARY: look at center ice, it has the crown, not the homeplate Los Angeles LA's logo. /snicker /taunt

Purple and gold: those are unique, they are original, those are actually COLORS and that scheme looks great against the white ice on television.

I would love for them to go back to purple and gold but these currents are NOT temporary. Sure they may do another change 10 years from now but don't hold your breath in the near future. The only reason they didn't put the home plate at center ice was because the puck didn't show up on all the black. They wanted to do it but they realized it wouldn't work.

i like the current home plate logo but i'll always have a soft spot for the shield and sticks logo.

The Purple and Gold looks amazing in HD. I want them to want them to wear that more often.

My team the Los Angeles Kings of 1971-72 donned the Purple and Gold and even though many people didn't like them I did! Rogie wore it,Butch wore it, Juha wore it,Dan Maloney wore it and many others. This was my team then and now and I will always love that original jersey even though they miffed on the Kings crown logo. Luv to see the original jersey worn at least 10 times or maybe for the month of October. The Kings could wear the different era jerseys for every month. November could be the jersey that Dionne,Taylor and Simmer stylized. Gretzkys Chevrolet logo jersey for December and so on and so forth...

PS In my heart of hearts the Kings will always be Purple And Gold Baby!!!

Wow do I disagree with this guys lost on so many levels. But everyone can have their opinion.
