I remember being upset that McCourt refused to come to LA, however I was more upset when Larry Murphy (1980 #1) was traded away and Doug Smith (1981 #1) didnt live up to the potential of a number 1 pick, 2nd overall. US High school sensation Bobby Carpenter was selected one spot after Smith and had a much better career, which included a short stint with the Kings.
Continuing on the number angle, Bernie Nicholls is known to most Kings fans as #9. However, he wore two other numbers before #9. Bonus points if you can produce a picture of either.
