I first became a Kings fan in 1986 when Robitaille and Carson were Rookies and used to go to Kings Practice quite often at Culver City Ice Rink. I have followed the Kings ever since and took advanatage of a Day off today and went by Kings practice this morning. I took a couple things to get autographed. The Book/DVD and another book I bought after they won the Stanley Cup. When practice started today I spotted Ron Hextall upstairs and had him sign his page in the Stanley Cup Book/DVD. After practice ended I got about 9 or 10 other autographs. Nicholls,Sutter,Bernier,Brown,Carter,Clifford,Lewi s,Richardson,Scuderi,Stoll and Voynov. Later on this season I would like to return and get some autographs that I did not get today. Just like when I used to go in Culver City all the players were really nice and honored all autograph requests. However I never remember having so much trouble reading or trying to figure out their signatures. Just glad I had the player sign on their page so I knew who's signature was who's. Even though I have not been to a practice session in a while it seems not much has changed. It is amazing to me how someone will act or dress in public and amoungst other people in order to get a players attention. I just SMH sometimes. But all in all it was a fun day. I forgot how great it was to be so close to the action on the Ice when you go to a practice session. You can be right next to the glass. So different from going to a game at Staples where those kind of seats would cost an arm and leg to be able to sit in. Hopefully I can find sometime in the future and return to El Sugendo and add to the autograph collection. Fun times today.
