    Default Former King Jim Paek leaves the Wings to coach South Korea's national team

    He was traded to Los Angeles by Pittsburgh with Marty McSorley for Tomas Sandstrom and Shawn McEachern on February 16, 1994.

    The Kings traded him to Ottawa by Los Angeles for Ottawa's 1995 7th rounder on June 25, 1994 then drafted Benoit Larose.

    Paek was born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1967. It isnít exactly a prime hockey nation, but the country will host the Winter Olympics in 2018 in Pyeongchang. Paek is charged with guiding South Korea to its first-ever Olympic hockey berth on what is the biggest stage in international hockey.
