He did a terrific job with the Lakers but I wish he could have done more with the Kings. For instance, he had NO business letting Larry Murphy go at such an young age. This was after GM McGuire lowballed Murphy coming out of an arbitration. Whatever the case, Buss will be missed.

Thank you Jerry for everything you have done for sport in Southern California. What an impact you have made. You are, and will continue to be a legend.

Thoughts and condolences to the Buss family. Your dad was a heck of guy.

Not only did he change the landscape of the NBA but he changed the landscape of LA sports FOREVER! Sad, sad day. Just another great example of the amazing sports figures that we LA sports fans have been blessed to be a part of over the years.

    RIP good sir!

Dr. Buss was a guy you looked at and said, 'I want to be like him when I grow up.' And yes, Dr. Buss loved the Kings but unfortunately couldn't make it work. R.I.P

He admitted as such. He asked his limo driver to turn the game on the radio. Upon hearing the score and realizing the Kings were making a comeback, the driver asked if he should turn around. Buss replied NO, they are doing better now that I left, or something along those lines.

Best owner in the history of team sports, IMO. Way ahead of his time, time and time again.
