bdroper , eddieshack23 , Fropitar , GBPH77 , KenQ , King Ludwig , Rogie-Vachon , and SteveM for guessing that the Wild would only have 21 or less shots on goal! (They had 17.)

For more quotes, please go to Jon Rosen's blog at LA Kings Insider.

Darryl Sutter on the “best thing” he saw from his team: “He, we do the same thing every night. We stick with it. We had opportunities. There’s a big difference between a one-nothing lead and a two-nothing lead.”

Jarret Stoll on what Darryl Sutter was saying on the bench: "Find a way, find a way. Stick with our game, it has to be our game. We can’t be turning over pucks and having a back-and-forth type of game. That’s not our style, and obviously we’ve got to score goals, we’ve got to bear down, and that was the message – just needing to try and finish our opportunities, get to the net, make it harder on their goalie."

Darryl Sutter on the 2-1 shootout los: "Unfinished opportunities, and when you get to the shootout you like to score the first goal always."

Jonathan Quick on Niederreiter’s third period goal: “Yeah, I read that wrong. I read that as a shot. I should’ve read it as a pass. So, I got spread open."

Jarret Stoll on Darcy Kuemper’s performance: “Yeah, he played great. You’ve got to give him credit, for sure. He made some big saves, he hasn’t had a lot of experience in this league, but he’s a big guy who moves well, very athletic, worked hard to see some pucks. He played well, give him some credit, but the onus is on us again.”

Matt Frattin on skating on a line with Mike Richards and Tyler Toffoli: "We had a lot of good chances in the last three games or so when we’ve been put together and those are the chances that we need to execute. We’re on the doorstep and we just have to keep shooting, trying to make the goalie make a save, and hitting nets, get traffic and try to get some rebound goals."

Jeff Carter on if he was surprised when he was told he made Team Canada: “You know what, I really didn’t know what was going to happen. You look at the guys that they had to choose from – there’s so many guys, so many different scenarios they needed to look at. Obviously it’s a huge honor. Definitely excited and should be a good time. [Reporter: Because you didn’t know if you would make it, was it more special when you found out you made it?] Yeah, it was a good wake up call. It was something that I worked for, for a while now – missing out four years ago. It’s kind of a goal of mine to leave it all out there and give myself the best chance possible to make it. I’m just excited that it all worked out.”
