The skilled guys had a really difficult time with the puck. Richards' line didn't have one good shift, and Williams had a pretty rough go of it a well.

They will get the feel back soon. I don't blame the defense nearly as much as some - the forwards were turning the puck over at the top of the circles all game long, of course they were gonna get caught scrambling in coverages.

I didn't expect to see much today out of Gagne-Richards-Brown. It will take a couple of games for them to click as none of them finished last season playing together. I thought the scoring would come from Carter's line.

I was far more concerned by the bad gap control and overall poor decision making evidenced by a majority of the defensemen. Bad positioning, bad recoveries and bad penalities dug a deep hole.

Well this means The Kings will not win 48 games this year.

Was at the game. A couple observations.
- line combos sucked. Brown, Richards and gagne looked way out of sync. Only line out there that had some coordination was Fraser's line.
- couple Quick should have saved.
- Passing was horrible
- last season kings were hitting hard during the game. There were some good hits but more missed hits.
- Kopi and Mitchell were badly missed out there

Game's done so they just need to put this one passed them and learn from it.

Managed to piss off everybody. EC fans on WC pissed early. Then WC fans pissed late. Win win from a PR perspective

Not concerned about the loss. Very concerned with the officiating. If the refs are supposed to call every game this tight, we're in big trouble.

Wrong, the score was 4-1 and we don't need NBC (National Bolshevik Communists) d!cktating anyone which game they should watch but rather a choice of the NOT so FREE airways we're paying for. It has been done before, this was game 1 of the SC Champs season not playoffs. F... YOU nbc !!! end of rant..feel better now.

They need to move the Banner next to the others ...looks odd all alone closer to the Lakers stuff
