Darryl Sutter on what he takes from the “possession, shots on goal, shots not on goal”: "Good, good, good, good, good."

Ben Scrivens on whether he is aware when specific players, such as Jaromir Jagr, are on the ice: “I mean, I don’t stare at their bench and watch who hops every time. You have a general understanding. You try and play every guy honestly. It’s not like you change your pattern or your setup all that much depending on who’s coming down on you. You try and play it as honestly as possible and give yourself as many chances to make saves as you can.”

Anze Kopitar on three-on-three overtime: "It was lots of ice. I haven‘t been in that position in a long time. Not that you’re feeling your way into it, but you’ve got to see what’s out there, when to go, when not to go. I just made a bad play on the blue line, and they had the rush. It’s not the smartest thing to do."

Darryl Sutter on when Martin Jones could receive playing time: “I really haven’t thought about it. Quite honest, Scrivens has had zero work. Zero. I mean, he’s had to make five or six stops a night, and he better make ‘em.”

Ben Scrivens on the overtime loss to New Jersey: "I thought we played pretty well. We generated our fair share of chances. Ran into a hot goalie. Schneider played a great one tonight. Sometimes you get the bounces. We’ve been getting bounces going our way the last few games. Just couldn’t get enough to go for us, but we’ve got to take as many positives as we can, and make sure that this is a one-time thing. I’m happy with the effort, but not the result."

Anze Kopitar on what the team will take from Thursday’s game: “Just try to take the positives out and build on stuff that can be improved and just come back on Saturday and have a strong game again.”

Darryl Sutter on Toffoli being ahead of Vey and Pearson: "Tyler’s clearly ahead of [Vey and Pearson], basically, because he’s played playoff games and knows a little bit more about what’s going on. I think because they play three different positions, it’s impacted how much they play. I think Tanner and Linden, when they came up, obviously Lindy was here a little bit earlier and had some practice time. I think his game has dropped off lately. Tanner’s minutes have dropped off. You know what? Those guys are game-day, game-time decisions."

Mike Richards on having Clifford, Carter and Nolan at practice: "There were a lot of guys out there, that’s for sure. It’s good to see everyone progressing and getting close to game ready. I am not sure what the timetable is for anybody, but it is just good to see everyone become close."

Yeah, I think he struggled to crack the lineup the first couple of games in the season (when the Avs picked him up off of waivers). But now he is getting a shot as their 4th liner, averaging about 8 minutes a night.

Go Kings go! Is it just me or does anyone else still really hate Patrick Roy? Just his face alone really bothers me.

Thanks, Mel! Love the pic of the Lewis breakaway....you can see all the guys on the bench are cheering him on. Too bad he didn't score there. Hope he gets one tonight!
