LA Kings Insider with Jon Rosen

For more quotes, please go to Jon Rosen's blog at LA Kings Insider.

Darryl Sutter on Nashville’s game-winning goal: "Mike’s got to stay with the centerman. It’s center-center on faceoffs. Fisher shouldn’t be able to carry it and I think when Mike lost his gap on him, and then Drew goes to him, and then they’re both in between. Normally Mike’s got to stay with him, and Drew’s got to front, and Mitchell’s just got to work back to the front. Easy play."

Willie Mitchell on Nashville’s game-winning goal: “I think we could’ve been maybe a little bit more aggressive at the line because we had numbers, and then it was just a little bit of blown coverage through the middle.”

Jake Muzzin on playing Chicago after a difficult loss: "It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter who we’ve got. We’ve got to be better, and a it’s a big challenge, and we should be excited for it."

Darryl Sutter on the Kings discipline: “I don’t think there’s one single thing. I don’t think it’s an undisciplined thing. I think, for example, a boy like Tyler takes that holding penalty last night in the third period. Well, I don’t know if he had a penalty coming into it. It’s just something for you guys to single out and be critical of. We lose the odd game and [you] find reasons why we did.”

Ben Scrivens on whether the puck fully crossed the line on the game-winning goal: “From where I am, I don’t have the advantage of having multiple replays and multiple angles and slow-mo and zoom-in. I thought the puck was still kissing the line, but that’s my vantage point, and I mean, I’m falling backwards at the same time too, so it’s not an ideal spot for me to make a call. But my first impression was that it was still kissing the line, and it hadn’t completely crossed. I haven’t seen any video of it. I haven’t had any chance to review it. I guess when it comes down to it we can’t leave it to chance. That’s the thing we’ve got to take out of it.”

Dustin Brown on the Blackhawks leading the lead in goals per game: “I think they thrive off their top players. Their top players have been awesome all year and you’ve got to make it difficult on those guys, and that going to take five-man units sticking together out there.”

Darryl Sutter on the Kings first line: “Line was good last night. Quite a bit better than they were the last two games. Jeff was hopefully starting to feel it a little bit more. Kopi’s game doesn’t change. I know in my mind the games that he’s struggled this year, and one was the last time in Chicago. He’s human.”

    GO ! KINGS ! GO !

Chicago is a tough team to beat but
they are due for a mid season slump and
it needs to start tonight !

    Come on Kings ! I believe !

A win for the Kings would be a huge morale
    booster.

I don't want to beat the hawks. I want to destroy them. Physically. Mentally. Sexually.

    ... Wait, what?

I'm thinking hoping thinking the Kings come out swinging against the Hawks after back-to-back losses. 4-2 Kings.

If I knew a bookie I would bet it all on the Hawks to win. And take the over as they are beating us 5-2. Sorry that loss to Nashville still has me being bitter.
