It isn't. Greene and Mitchell out, Ellerby, Muzzin, and Drewiske in. Kopitar, Brown, Richards MIA. What you're left with is a shell of a Stanley Cup team.

Doughty tried to move the puck from a dangerous scramble position up the boards - where was the point coverage? Defense is a team game. Blaming Doughty there is short-sighted.

While I agree with the Doughty assessment, blaming Quick is very short-sighted. Sure, he could have made the stop. But you need to eat that puck along the boards, and have that point coverage, as you say.

Dustin Brown, man, how that guy could go from all-world late last season back to garbage is amazing.

Dude had so many chances and every single one he flew by after instead of battling for second or third opportunities. Garbage hockey from a guy who had just proven that he knows how to play the right way.

and for those who say its not on Quick come on guys that f2nd ****ing goal wasnt on him? Howard had those shots all day and he stopped all of them come on man

Brown is really the anchor on the top line. When is he going to get busted down to the 4th line like Richards was today? Kopitar was meh. Gagne was good. Ellerby isn't terrible. Drewiske is bad, but then again that's pretty far down the D totem pole. This team can't make passes to save their lives.

At least Richards admitted to taking extensive amount of time off from hockey. What's Brown's excuse? He was playing.
