Brown playing in Europe with a bigger ice surface and a style of game that is less physical has come back to bite him in the ass.

He is not the same player he was last season. He just looks effing terrible.

Ellerby was fine, had a few hiccups, but he didn't look out of place. I'd take him over Muzzin any day.

I thought Gagne's speed made a huge difference on that line. They had multiple chances on the rush, but unfortunately they all ended up on the one-and-done "snipers" stick.

Carter and a 1st for Johnson - Short term fix, long term problem.
Philadelphia gave up on Richards because they knew they had a better leader in Giroux.
Dustin Brown as Captain? When you look at Detroit's lineage at Captain with Yzermen, Lidstrom, Zetterberg... Can you really put Brown in the same sentence?

This was a kick in the crotch. I'll never give up on the Kings, but games like this certainly test my faith. The thing is, we weren't bad today. We were 4 seconds away from getting a point. I hate to put this on 1 player but Quick should have made that save. There's got to be something wrong with him. He's let in more soft goals this year than all of last season.

Tough one to swallow.
