They are the Stanley Cup Champions. We all hoped they wouldn't be hungover but it's clear they are. I accept this now.
This is a half-season. The Kings had one week of camp. Yes, so did the rest of the league, but it took the Kings virtually all of last season to play to form. That's just how they function.
Mitchell and Green were out. These guys are top Dmen on ANY team.
I'm pissed about the loss (happy that Edmonton got into OT because that was a bs call). I didn't expect this much of a lack of urgency from the Kings, but I'm also new to being a fan of the championship team.
But there's NO WAY I start trading players this season, unless its a deal I just can't refuse. This season will be for the teams that learn to play as a unit the fastest, not for teams that spent the summer partying, celebrating victory.
