I didnt believe it until i saw pritchard and company walking the cup out. The kings have just always found a way to screw everything up. But it was love at first sight when mcsorley beat some penguin to a bloody pulp off the opening faceoff at my first hockey game when i was like 7 yrs old.Originally Posted by CHARAzard

Anyone notice the difference in forward support in the defensive zone this game? I feel like a lot of teams have been upping their forchecking against us, because of our younger / inexperienced defensive pairings. This has forced a TON of turnovers... but I noticed the support from the forwards a lot more this game. We had three guys below the goal line helping eachother out, instead of the normal two defenseman trying to break the puck out.
Maybe Sutter drove that point home? I saw Gagne dropping low, Kopitar dropping low, Richards dropping low. There were three men back, all along the boards, all game long (two defenseman, one forward). This really helped us break out of the zone and avoid the forchecking pressure. It was GREAT! We need to do more of this from here on out. That way, if a defenseman is in trouble, he doesn't just cough it up.
Curious on the boarding call that led to the Whiskey PP goal - did Polak commit that penalty off-screen or did they just never correct the call to show that it was actually Backes' penalty? Polak didn't seem to have a clue what happened and FSW showed the Backes hit during replays of the penalty.
