It doesn't seem to me that Quick's injury is causing this, unless you say the injury didn't allow him to properly train for the season. It seems like his movement and flexibility are fine, but his angles and positioning are off. Which I guess depending on how you look at it, is either more or less concerning.
They need to bench Quick and have Bernier be the regular starter now. This is just a goddamn ****ing pathetic JOKE...
a couple of good goals that quick from last year's playoffs would have normally been able to stop. the kings' offense unable to generate sustained pressure all night. stick-to-stick passing was horrible just like the last game against the wings. i hope the kings wake up and realize that they are nowhere near last season's playoff form.
the only positive is that my man-crush williams finally got his second goal of the season. maybe he can get rolling like carter and kopitar as well. but williams needs to stop trying to carry the puck into the offensive zone all by himself. he's not very successful in that department.
it might be time for sutter to re-think his plans for goaltending. quick has been off his game of late. not a panic situation yet so i don't mind seeing quick start a few more times but if he can't get his head back into the game it might be time for sutter to ride bernier all the way to the end.
