Kopi is 2 points away from 500 career points. Will he reach that milestone tonight?

    Congratulations to the following LGKers:

EshootzEscorez is the only one who guessed that Kopitar would not even get a point against the Avs!

Thanks for playing! I'm sorry, I don't actually have prizes to give out... so here is a mention on the GDT!

LA Kings Insider with Jon Rosen

For more quotes, please go to Jon Rosen's blog at LA Kings Insider.

Jake Muzzin on the pace of the game: "They’re a fast team. We did a little better defending the rush, got better gaps. But they’re a fast team. We knew that."

Ben Scrivens on the game-winning goal: “I saw it as an odd-man rush. I think I saw it as a three-on-one, with one of our guys coming in late. I had to kind of watch my depth a little bit, and they made the sauce pass over. The guy got good wood on it. I was able to get across, and it just got me on the right side of my chest. Tough to control that rebound, but I’ve guess I’ve got to find a way to squeeze that a little better.”

Anze Kopitar on the biggest challenge on the power play: "Tonight I felt like we didn’t win a lot of faceoffs. We didn’t have possession right off the get-go. We had some decent looks on shots, but we’ve got to get in there a little bit more and get a little greedy around the net."

Darryl Sutter on the team’s performance: “We played a good game. [We’re] having trouble scoring right now. [Reporter: What do you chalk that up to? The goalies the last couple games were pretty good.] Well, we’ve got a lot of guys out of the lineup. ‘What do you chalk it up to?’ I mean, they knocked two guys out again last game. It’s hard. You’re mixing. It’s sort of like diversifying your portfolio. [Reporter: And you moved Brown to right wing because of the injuries.] Clearly. That’s one guy that could move over. We knocked two right wingers out last game, so we moved Brownie over. It didn’t affect how he played. It didn’t affect anything, quite honest.”

Drew Doughty on whether he is excited to go to Vancouver: “Yeah, it’ll be fun. It’ll be good to play them. I always have fun there – loud rink, and it’s fun to beat ‘em there.”

Darryl Sutter on his assessment of Ben Scrivens: "Game-to-game. Strong game. Gave us a chance to win tonight. You need that every night from your goaltender…I don’t care who that is in there. He’s doing a good job. I’d say probably the game in New Jersey he had more work."

Drew Doughty on what he expects from the Canucks: "They’re going to bring a lot of energy. They make good plays. Obviously you’ve got to shut down the Sedins. We saw last time they came here when they’re not creating offense, they kind of slack on the defensive end, [and] we took advantage of that, and I think they were like minus-two or three. So as long as we play them well defensively and frustrate them in that sense, I think we can take advantage of the offensive game for us. We just need to keep that crowd quiet quick, and it should be good."
