The only thing I would add is the Expo Line runs on the same track at the Blue Line from 7th/Metro so that transfer is faster now. I usually walk from 7/Metro to pre-emptively(sp?) burn off a few calories that I will consume with the beer. Personally, I would rather take the Metro to any event downtown than drive. It's just too much hassle to find a parking space for the price you want, and then you have to drive back to wherever you came from. This means no beer after the 1st period, which sucks. Do what I do, drink yourself silly and take the train. No one will mess with you because there will be other Kings fans around.

Any suggestions for a good place to have breakfast near Staples before the game Saturday (other than the Pantry)???

I live in Norwalk and was thinking of taking the green line this Saturday then transferring to the blue line but I see that the transfer is in the middle of Compton. Has anyone else done this before? To get around the transfer I was thinking of just starting my trip at the artesia blue line station. Anyone do the green line/blue line trip? And do I have anything to worry about?

A friend and I are going to take the green line to the blue line starting at the Norwalk station. I've never done that particular trip before, but I've done the blue line up from LBC several times without any problem. I don't know if I'd want to leave the station and wander around the area, but the Willowbrook station where you transfer is right in the middle of the 105 freeway, and all you need to do to connect to the blue line is walk down a flight of stairs, so I'm not terribly concerned. And, if you get to the Norwalk station around 9:15-9:20 or so, you can ride with us.

i've done that change in compton before. it's really not that scary. i also parked my bmw at the station right on the edge of compton because i accidentally missed the exit for the wardlow blue line station and it was fine the whole time i was at a usc football game.

I did the Green Line / Blue Line thing for the parade. Not scary at all.

It's kinda scary when it's early in the morning and it's you and only one other shady looking person on the train and right after you sit down, he decides to get up and move a lot closer, right behind you.
