orange line to red line to blue line (or skip the blue line and walk from 7th/Metro to Staples). Incredibly easy but you'll be in transit for quite a while.

I live in Laguna Woods and work in Santa Ana. When driving to weeknight games immediately from work, I take I-5 north->I-10 west. Getting to the I-5 from my office is closer and the flow is also somewhat better than the 405. But coming home from Staples after the game or getting there during the weekends from home, the 405 & 110 combo is much smoother.

When taking metro make sure and tap the stupid TAP card every time u transfer. More often than not the sheriff's are waiting at the staples exit to write u a hefty ticket if u didnt. Other than that, enjoy all the bumping and rubbing from strangers along the way :-) !

So I'm heading to Vegas/LA on vacation, and I'm gonna be trying to hit up the home opener. We land in Vegas the day of the game around 1pm and I'm heading to LA at that point. Anybody got any tips or advice on getting to the game from Vegas? And if it's realistic to make it in time for the start if I leave Vegas at 1pm?

Shouldn't be a problem. 15 south to 210 west to 605 south to 60 west. Into downtown and get off at Los Angeles St. Use your WAZE app and if the 60 west is busy take the 10 west. You end up in the same spot downtown. 60 west is usually better than the 10

I'd also check your gps before arriving If the 10/605 are bad then take the 15 to the 210. Shoot straight across the 210 and get off at Sierra Madre and right there is the Metro Gold line station. Take the subway to union station and then the redline/blueline to get off right in front of Staples. Not sure the subway travel time... about 30 minutes to Union Station and probably another 30 minutes to allow boarding/wait/travel on redline(or purple line)/blueline.

More importantly, are you staying in LA for the evening? If so, you should plan your route to the game with that in mind. If you don't plan on staying you'll be in for a 4+ hr drive back to Vegas after probably consuming a reasonable amount of alcohol. It might be worth the $100 to find a hotel in a decent neighborhood rather than trying to get back to Vegas at 3AM.
