It might be worth the $100 to find a hotel in a decent neighborhood rather than trying to get back to Vegas at 3AM.
Planning on driving back. I'm actually straight-edge and a bit of an insomniac, so alcohol is no issue lol.

Another option is to drive to universal and grab the train there.

Did exactly this for 2 seasons when I used to work in Studio City. Only downside was waiting for the train back to the SFV after an OT game.

Take the subway to union station and then the redline/blueline to get off right in front of Staples. Not sure the subway travel time... about 30 minutes to Union Station and probably another 30 minutes to allow boarding/wait/travel on redline(or purple line)/blueline.
This is all true, until you get to the Metro. Which will take a lot of time, BUT, if you leave Vegas when you say you will, you will be there (without a car) saving on parking in plenty of time then putting up with the crowds, which will be heavy for the opener. Your choice

I always drive to Wardlow anyways to avoid the mid-LB cluster**** (and get free parking).

I've done this a couple of times. Takes over an hour with all the stops, but it works. I went from 105/605 with a xfer at Imp station

It is well worth it. During the playoffs, since 2010, on most days I ride the Blue Line from Del Amo to Staples. From Del Amo it is at most a 30 minute ride. The cost to ride is under 2 bucks. This also works great for weekend afternoon games. Wife and I can ride for less than the cost of parking. It probably takes the same amount of time than driving, with no traffic. There are always a handful of Kings fans riding the train as well.
