Been a coupla years but it wasn't bad. I remember lots of empty parking, buses, transit cops and Sheriff's deputies around so the place looked pretty secure. It's the end of the line for the Green Line so I got on the train and waited a while before it pulled out. You transfer to the Blue Line at Willowbrook station and that takes you to Staples Center.

Use Wardlow station if 405 access is what you need. Enter and exit the freeway at Atlantic, don't use the Long Beach Blvd exit as the lane changes are too close together. Usually lots of parking, a few buses and cops hanging around. I've never had a problem there.

If you're going to Norwalk you would take the Green Line and transfer to the Blue Line. If you're in LB you can just take the Blue Line all the way in (no transfer).

It has been a few years since I visited the LA area and I love using subway systems while over in Europe so from this point forward a thread like this is super useful. Thanks for creating it!

I have all the right in the world to be yelled at if I missed it but I see where LAX is located on the metro rail map. I see two grey dotted lines leaving it. One goes to the Aviation LAX where there is the green line and then the other goes to Little Tokyo Arts Dist. Is that Aviation LAX right inside the airport or do you have to take some short bus line to get to that green line station. Which metro stop is closest to the Staples Center? How late at night does the metro lines run?

My wife and I will be taking the Rapid 10 on Sunday. I've never used it, but my wife takes it often before night games and I meet her there after work. She says that the bus timetables are fairly accurate.

From Pasadena, I take the Gold to the Red, then walk from 7th and metro. Walking from metro is about the same time as waiting for the Blue line. I haven't driven to a game in two years. I just expect to walk a little, and I'm cool with it.

There is a shuttle that goes from the LAX terminals to the Aviation/LAX green line station.

    LAX Shuttle & Airline Connection

Take green line to Rosa Parks station, then blue line to Pico, across the street from Staples.

    Maps & Timetables

There is also a bus that goes from the LAX terminals directly to Union Station downtown, where you can pick up the red line or purple line to 7th st and walk to Staples from there.
