The lakings.com board was just BRUTAL back then. People would come on and just scroll away during conversations. It was really the Wild Wild West of the internet back then. No control over anything. Good times!
Cool thing is Ive been "nocturn" on all the boards since day one. I was probably the first "nocturn" on the internet. Started "nocturn" in 1992 on CompuServe.
I don't really know how I found the geocities site, maybe from the old style bbs message board. I could read but couldn't post cuz of my older Mac. There was an early Roller game get together I wanted to go to in the OC but I was chicken. I think Chris and Kris met at that game and are happily married to this day!

I've been around since 1999. I've got life long friends made from this site. Good times, indeed. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the infamous Neil!
Oh man - I loved Neil. He would just just piss off every newbie that came to the site. I remember rumors that Neil was actually RR - never found out the truth about that. I joined right before the Rivals experiment if I remember correctly.Quote:
