When Scuds went down I groaned in fear, when he got up bloodied I knew that we were gonna get a 5 and I also knew that this is the moment that would make the series, if we squandered the PP the Devils would beat us in 7, if we made them pay for injuring our teammate, showed control and character.... well the rest is history.
Footnote: that was the worst penalty I have ever seen the stanley cup playoffs. Aside from Mcstick of course.

Watched game 6 again last night. I still get all misty eyed up when the Captain hoists the Cup....

I think I'm starting to accept that it was real.

I think they need to do it again next season just to make sure

I think so too. I learned a lot this time through so next time I will know the protocol!

It will completely sink in when I see Bob and Jim wearing their rings, the banner going up, and the pics of their names on engraved on the Cup.
Yup...that will completely do it for me.

Has it hit everyone yet?
Sometimes at work, out of the blue, I will randomly get a huge, ****-eating grin on my face. No one but one person ever knows why.

I can't help but think that everyone of us had that moment of realization that this was it; what we were about to witness would (for good or bad) go down in Kings lore. I'll never forget the look of our bench when the official signaled for 5. As fans, we had been groomed for disappointment for so long that when that PP was over, I can't help but imagine that everyone of us felt that figurative monkey get bitchslapped off our back.
