Yes and No.
Since I was at the parade and the rally, I did not get a chance to see the broadcast on TV; until today at my brothers house. It was pretty damn awesome watching all the coverage and seeing and hearing Quick all over again. It sinks in a little more everyday.
I've watched the replay (mostly the goals) every night. Even if I'm tired & cranky from work, it cheers me right up! So, when will Quick be calling Peggy?
Just watched the KTLA News Video and it just hit me again, that one guy at the end running in for a shot is what it's all about! The pure joy We Won the Cup!
Chills!
I never knew it would feel this good, and I don't care we get to celebrate all summer! Anytime the Cup is near we will be there!!!
Buddy from Idaho sends me a text today: "Crazy the Kings won the Cup man!!! I'm still in shock!!!"
My reply: "I know, right?!?!?!?!"
This isn't sinking in until around training camp.
Ive watched game 6 about 5 times now, went to the parade and the rally and I still feel like I'm living in a dream. It hasn't sunk in at all for me. Everyday I feel the need to pinch myself and remind myself its all real. These past few months have felt like a dream. Maybe it'll hit me at frozen fury and if not then at opening night when they raise the banner. GKG!
It probably won't until Frozen Fury when they announce the teams as" the avs and YOUR STANLEY CUP CHAMPION LOS ANGLES KINGS !!!"
At that point I am sure the MGM arena will be the loudest it's ever been and my friend the Ducks fan who comes with us every year (and gets abused by the gauntlet) will be slowly crying in his beer.
