Looks like Leopold's cap hit is $3M and an UFA July 1st. According to CapGeek the Kings got over $7M in cap space. This would work financially unless I'm missing something.

Works for me, personally though. I'm not so sure it's Richardson, though he'd fit with the Sabers. I've wondered with the acquisition of Stewart if Clifford might be on the market

I doubt Clifford is on the block. Lombardi loves this kid and believes he has plenty more upside to his game. However, the addition of Stewart does increase the competition for fourth line duties.

I worry about Clifford's health, seems his style makes him injury prone, and worry about concussions with him.

I don't know Leopold's game, but I'd be extremely hesitant to trade Clifford. He's a decent hard-nosed player that can drop the gloves. We need to retain that element in our lineup.

We have that in spades in both the lineup and in Manchester. If they'll take a Bottom 6 winger for him, I would do that deal.

Leopold is a left shot, on an expiring deal, and Sutter has a familiarity with him. He's actually a little bit of an upgrade over Mitchell offensively, with less size.

The rumblings are that the price for defense is much higher than many of you are going to want to pay.

The real question is how hurt is mitchell?
