Nail did make a great play on the game tying goal FishMonger. Although it was only
the third game for the Kings, hopefully that is a wake up call and the Kings will stay
out of the penalty box and the offense will finally wake up. The game tomorrow night vs the Yotes should be a somewhat nasty one.

Everybody is UP for our game, Phoenix will come out HOT, Doan will be in for the kill.
Sutter needs to have our players prepared well.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Brown and Doan drop the gloves right after the opening face-off.

sutter should give the whole team 1 game contracts until the end of the year.. we might actually get some energy and passion going for once this year

i don't think so. well, at least the one where Richards took his sweet ass time to even get within 5' of the bench, and the puck went right to Stoll wasn't. that play was part and parcel to Richards' play so far.

Anze is skating stiff legged. Williams clearly looks like a player with his kind of mileage who hasn't played in 7 months after playing 102 games last year. Penner is skating better, but he's not engaging. Carter looks a lot more like he did in the playoffs than when he was pouting in Columbus... so i guess that's a plus. and has Brown mentally come back from Switzerland yet?

the rest of the forwards are fine.

as is the defense, and Doughty looks like the Cup may have had a pretty profound effect on him - he looks to have matured a bit this summer.

that right there and the fact that Quick appears to be starting to settle in for it again, is what keeps me positive... and the fact that Sutter doesn't f*** around doesn't hurt either.

Well, I think we should all be a little more patient with the guys. They've come down from an awful high for many months. 1st game was a given they'd lose because of all the pre game festivities. 2nd game, abt as exciting as watching a tennis match. 3rd game, just loss of concentration and I agree with those who think it was a pure miracle they won the cup after such a bad start. This season, they all have targets on their backs and a lot of pressure to prove themselves. If Sutter can't get their butts in gear, noone can.
