I would agree with most of those rankings. Seems like a good list and at least he gives a reason why, he doesn't just say that such and such is good and leave it at that. Although I don't necessarily agree with the comment about Bob Miller not being a fan of the Kings. I think Bob eats, drinks and bleeds Kings hockey. Instead of saying this...you can tell he's a fan of the game, and not a fan of the Kings. His knowledge spans thirty teams.. He should have phrased it like this...you can tell he's a fan of the game, and not JUST the Kings. His knowledge spans thirty teams.

I have only noticed the mistakes the last years or two, but I thought the list was good.

I don't know about that first comment. I saw/listened to Foley and Tallon years ago when Sportschannel did the NHL games and they were AWFUL (early 90s). Easily the most biased broadcasters I'd ever heard in the NHL up to that point. It they have improved that's great....maybe it was Eddie O. that brought that...I dunno.

I'm always a little bit amazed that teams employ pbp and color announcers that openly root for their team. Do they think their fans need that much hand-holding?
If I were a fan of the teams these homers broadcast for, I would take it as an insult to my intelligence.
Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that.

Id like to see national broadcasters on that list.
I still miss Gary Thorne, loved that guy from the ESPN days.

A lot of the times that's a regional thing. For example, Chicago is notorious for having homer announcers in all their sports....save Hockey IMO. None worse than Hawk Harrelson of course, but the Bears radio broadcasts are almost unlistenable.
