Here's a pretty good list I posted a while back:

Ranking NHL Broadcasters, From Jack Edwards To Daryl Reaugh And Everybody In Between - SBNation.com

I agree with the choice of the Dallas crew as No.1, they're terrific.

I love listening to Hawk on wgn, great baseball voice for a saturday nap. Complete and total homer is correct but somehow he was never abrasive with it.

He is now. He was warned already once this season for acting like a total jackwagon on air. He did it again yesterday or Monday. That guy needs to get fired quick.

Actually, the last time I listened to a Dallas broadcast, I really thought they were extremely biased. That may have been a rare event...

Bob does make a ton of mistakes.

Great list, Ralph and Darryl are awesome. They're smart, never homers, probably drunk at times, I think Ralph is there to keep Darryl from whipping out his doinker during a broadcast

I am always amazed at what all these guys do, try doing a play by play yourself, but yes in the last couple of years Bob has started making more mistakes.

With that said, the list looks pretty good to me and yes, Hayward is a tool, but the Ducks fans love him, so guess what, they get to keep him, their gain is our bigger gain !

I won't comment on everything as I agree wholeheartedly with some of his analysis but Carolina so high is horrible. They are one of the worst pairs in the league and having Florida's team high is brutal as well. I do agree with the Dallas pairing high - Darryl Reaugh is great and thoroughly knows the game. Not sure I agree with some of the Canadian pair rankings either.

Oh and if you have never heard Rick Jeanneret (Buffalo) you must. He is a complete crackup and I love listening to him. If anyone remembers his screaming call of "MAY DAY! MAY DAY! MAY DAY!" when Rob May won a playoff game for the Sabres in OT (on May 1st of course) is one of the classic calls in sports.

Except he does that for EVERY call.

Pitt being dead last is spot on, but hey they earned it.
