A lot of the times that's a regional thing. For example, Chicago is notorious for having homer announcers in all their sports....save Hockey IMO. None worse than Hawk Harrelson of course, but the Bears radio broadcasts are almost unlistenable.

Yeah, very evident when he says, "...and the score is 3-1 GOOD GUYS...", or "GOOD GUYS, coming up to bat." Just say Chicago!

Nick is just flat out great. He understands the radio format and how to make sure you know what is going on with the play when you can't see the action. Darryl is much improved as well.

Agree. When they demoted a true original in Mike Lange they set their own fate. The two they have now are horrible.

"Scratch my back with a hacksaw" and "He beat him like a rented mule" are two of Lange's best lines and he was an NHL original that brought charisma/color to the NHL.

Not bad, but the guy was just dead wrong about The Flames switching from Loubardias to Kerr. ANYTHING is better than Mr High-Pitch Loubardias.

Any of you guys remember Curt Keilback? (Jets/Yotes up until a few years ago)

It was as if the guy would turn his back to the play on the ice, then turn back around and suddenly try and describe it all in the time it took him to turn around....

"Ohhhh my ga, well, here he is, but, it's no, now Doan, A DRRIIIIIVVVVEEEE!!, out in front wa, he wa, HE SCOREDDDDDD!!!!!!

The Sharks announcers I think got ranked a little too high, and I can't understand why the Colorado clowns didn't make bottom three. That somebody besides the Penguins and Ducks guys suck worse than them is news to me.
