And lets not forget tyson nash saying that mike smith is a way better goaltender that jonathan quick.

I said..."wait...WHAT?! You guys are the bad guys!". Hilarious...it was the first time I got a glimmer of how set up it was. I was shocked...I mean....Ralph Valladares a bad guy! No way!
I can remember watching this stuff as a kid on channel 52. The Detroit Devils were the bad guys!!! And wasn't Ralphie about 80 years old? The other name I remember is Skinny Minnie Miller. What memories!

Funny...I looked Valladares up after I read this thread and he died in the late 90s so I don't think he was quite that old in the mid-70s.

Rollers games went off Ch. 5 fairly early in the 70s but channel 13 still carried wrestling with Dick Lane for awhile. There was also wrestling on the Spanish channel 34...where if you watched enough over the years you could learn Spanish. ie Wrestling = Lucha Libre = Free Fight! For whatever reason I spent way too much time watching that crap until I became a hockey fan in 74....where...you know...the fights were REAL. lol

I remember KHJ taking over roller derby duties in the late 70s and early 80s... I remember being at the game where Ralphie scored point 10K and had it taped... I found about 1/2 of the game on youtube...and them mentioning the show Real People (which debuted in 1979 according to IMDB.com) going on its second season...

I think Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda should not be ranked as high 8 those are two of the worst play by play announcers I have ever heard. Those two knuckleheads would praise how great the Sharks are if the Sharks went 0-82 in a season. Put them where they belong,...#30.
