It's a shame they aren't doing a bobblehead
A March 9th rumor for the give-away falls on my birthday. The 13 year old girl inside of me squealed when she read about bandana night. She was last seen on June 11, 2012 while asking her best friend if she wanted a Stanley Cup champs t-shirt to replace the one I bought her in 1993 for her birthday. Our 8th grade history teacher rocked the hockey posters in his classroom and would use hockey players as multiple choice answers on his tests.
Love Hrudey!! When I played that is why I wore #32 (hence my screenname as well!). To make it complete, how about everyone also gets a strip of red tape for Red-Line Stauber. I swear that guy was like Forest Gump. You had to yell stop or he would skate past center ice!
You guys are brutal. Goalies today don't take 56 shots a game.
"Kings still can't clear!"
I love "Hollywood" Kelly Hrudey! Didn't have the greatest career, but, he was a gamer. Sometimes gave up 5 goals in one game, then, got stingy the next, giving up 1 or 2. I still have respect for the guy because he did get us into the '93 Finals, and except for some bad OT luck, might have helped L.A. win it all.
Hrudey wasn't great but he was servicable. If you ask me, he played his best hockey as a King in the 93 Finals. He kept the team in every game of that series.
Be fair, he was playing for the San Diego Gulls at the time, who wore black/red back then. A better example of a mismatched King would be Ryan Bach when he came to the Kings after Detroit:
