You must think it's the 1950s. These guys are millionaires, with personnel trainers, dieticians, they change teams regularly, etc. The captain isn't the only one that gets to speak, everyone else doesn't dart their eyes to the kings captain or any other team's captain to see what they should do.

You ever watch him. He's the glue on this team. He cheers Brown when he's down. He's friends with everyone. He's like the central go to guy, and he plays with heart every game.

I'm really learning a lot about what it takes to be an NHL team captain from those who have never been a captain in the NHL, let alone ever played in the NHL, nor ever been in an NHL locker room, nor ever personally known an NHL captain, etc. etc. etc.
