I want to see that banner raised. I still get goosebumps watching the Cup run and I miss going to games with my friends. That said, the two sides can continue to fight for 100% of $0 for all I care because the longer this goes on, thats what they will eventually have.

I'm saving a lot of money this year. I ain't crying.
-
No, I really don't care anymore. This is the fourth season that I have lived through where either the NHL lost a full season or lost a good portion of the season due to greed by either the players the owners or both. I have come to the realization that the owners and players could care less about me why should I care about them? I saw the Kings win the Stanley Cup last year after being a die hard fan for more than 25 years. I'm content with that if there is not one more NHL season. I have hardly checked in here at LGK since the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs because of the impending negotiation issues when I used to check in daily.
The more money that the players negotiate for the more money it is going to cost the average fan because the owners will just pass that on to us.

I think the only sad thing is my 3yo son is going through his formative years and will now hold the SF Bulls in the highest regard for the rest of his life only because of this lockout.
-
I don't miss it. The world is full of distractions filling the void left by the lockout. Too bad the NHL/NHLPA can't understand that.
-
you guys are taking this way too personally
-
I'm not taking it personally. I understand this game is a business. The owner expect (as they should) a certain rate of return. The players also should expect a contract signed in good faith, be paid in good faith, especially with your bosses bragging about record revenue.
I miss my hockey friends and the fun we have at the game or at a watch party.

If the season is cancelled, not having our 1st round pick should be less painful. In 2005, the Crosby Draft, they averaged the two previous years then had a lottery of all 30 teams. It was also a snake draft. So assuming we would be somewhere in the 22-25 draft spot, that means we will have the 5th to 8th pick in the second round.
I would rather see a season, but this would be a bit of a silver lining.
-
I care and if they do resume play I will be back in my seats
However I think they should just cancel the season if they are going to continue to have this type of posturing on/off negotiation, I still check every day over at TSN for news of a breakthrough but I just don't see it coming in the next 30 days
So cancel the season, get the deal in place so this doesn't happen again, if Football, Basketball can work it out with hardly a blip in their seasons, I just don't understand why Hockey has such a hard time- that's got to be a sad indictment of both sides

As long as there's a lockout I can say "I AM THE STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!" There is no team to challenge me. Go ONTARIO REIGN!
