Thread: I dont believe any of you..

I'll go to see the banner raised, then leave and sell the rest of my tickets for the year.

I fully intend to resume caring once there is a season, but right now I do not care. The negotiations got boring months ago and it is deeply annoying how both sides are so concerned with trying to score points with the public when they should be getting this over with. Sorry guys, there is not going to be any huge public outcry pressuring the other side like there was with the replacement NFL refs.

The 2005 season was cancelled on Feb 16
The 1995 lockout ended Jan 11 (48 games)

So don't worry about drop dead until Jan 15 at least. And even then, there's still time.


I do miss hockey. The lockout is annoying more than anything. The media needs something else to cover.

espn doesn't know the 2005 lockout ended.

i miss going to the games, but it's not killing me that there isn't any hockey. i can take a break from it for a year. i'm a better friend since i'm not constantly telling my friends i can't hang on certain days because a game is on. this past postseason was something. i've never had to tell them i don't know my schedule as far into the year as june like i did because of all those playoff games. i'm making up for all that inability to commit now! not to mention, i'm able to keep my daughter on a better sleep schedule because we're not coming home at 10:30-11pm. it wasn't terrible before, but hey, i ain't gonna knock anything that makes my life a little easier.

I'm starting to miss hockey less and less. Really, the only thing I miss is seeing all the LGK people who come out to chat during intermission. That right there, is like a 2nd family all in itself.

There's a good idea for a protest. Opening night a full house, SRO for the banner raising, then 75% of the fans walk out and leave them playing before 4500 - 5000 fans.

"We didn't come to see you spoiled brats and uber rich owners, we came to see OUR banner!"

I'll admit it, I'm f***ing pissed off. Pissed off at owners who are putting us through this again, pissed off at a players union that threw its lot in with Satan himself who won't be satisfied until he fully kills a sport and pissed off and players who cry about wanting a fair system for the little guy, but see nothing wrong with going to other leagues and taking away spots from those players - because nothing shows that you're looking out for the non millionaires like taking their job away from them.

I'll be there because I love the game, but right now, this whole system and the people in can can go anatomically penetrate themselves
