Frankly the Kings (and Devils) are the two teams that benifit the most (in terms of on ice product) from a lockout. There shouldn't be any major hangover if (big if) a season does take place. The the Kings lost in the finals then we would be going crazy because this season would simply represent a year out of our window that we can never get back.
I waited a long time to see the Kings raise the Cup. It was something I was beginning to think I would never see. Even another cup will never match that moment. I miss the many friends that sit around me, but I can watch games on TV, and save money. If we have a partial season, I'm sure I will go to a few games. But fighting traffic, and spending more money on parking and food, than I do on tickets? I may just stay home a lot more often.
I'm lucky cause the Kings do better when I watch from afar!
I care a lot actually. I bleed Kings. The Kings are my life. Hockey is one of the main reasons I'm happy and not full out depressed out of my mind with my personal problems. BUT, since they won the cup, it's been constant 24/7 celebration for me. I have all 16 games saved on my DVR and I watch them regularly and I probably will NEVER get tired of them.
The Kings winning the cup has made this lockout much easier to take. There will be hockey eventually, they won't erase the sport. It just takes time I guess.
Plus my family is saving quite a lot of money on Season Seats and that has freed up a lot of money for things that we actually need, like a working Oven, or bills or etc.
