I dont believe any of you.. That say you don't care if there will be a season or not.Sure we have been jerked around etc but everytime I replay the Kings rally and hear the song Black Parade I just can't wait to see the kings raise the banner and see them again.Other fans of other teams might feel differently but I wouldn't miss Opening Night even if its 48 games..I convinced myself I didn't care either but I would take a 48 game season in a heartbeat just to see the LA KINGS again.
I do care, and I care intensely. But i'll be honest and say that i would prefer they announce the cancellation of the season sooner than later. that was i can stop pretending to care about these negotations.Originally Posted by doughtydiva

I will go to ONE game this year, if it happens, opening night or whatever night they raise the banner. Beyond that I dont see me coming back in 2013 at all. Not even if they go the Stanley Cup Finals. I will follow and they will always have my heart BUT they will not get my money.
I was there when they won the cup. At this point I don't need to be there when they raise the banner. I will only be going to games (if there is a season) on tickets that are given to me. I will always be a fan, but even I have my limits.
put me in the "not that bummed" category. I thought this would have been more painful. Do I miss the games? Yes. I miss going to Staples, I miss being able to watch games, especially on Saturdays when there was usually a ton of good hockey on. Truth be told though, I am saving a ton of money which is nice after a very expensive cup run and am actually thinking maybe I don't "need" season seats anymore. Will always love the game and the team, but seriously contemplating canceling the seats especially if the season gets cancelled. It does help that they just went on amazing run and won the whole thing.
The other part of this I think that has made it easier to take is how horrible both sides have treated these negotiations. Blame who you want, this has been handled very poorly on both sides and neither has shown much concern for the fans and employees that are suffering. After getting smacked in the face by all of this, I really am not that anxious for them to get this done and say "we did it for the fans." I have lost a major amount of respect for the NHL AND NHLPA. I am fine with the whole season being cleared and let them get this right so that it never happens again. Maybe something will happen to make them realize that this really is unacceptable and they should show a greater respect for their fans. It is going to be much tougher for the league to recover from this lockout then the last one. They don't have Crosby AND Ovechkin coming in fresh to shape/hype the "new NHL" with the major changes that also took place at that time.
